Privacy Policy

Through this notice, the GALICIAN BUSINESS-UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION – hereinafter referred to as FEUGA – informs USERS of the PLATFORM www.simbav.es (hereinafter referred to as the PLATFORM) about its personal data protection policy, so that USERS may freely and voluntarily decide whether they wish to provide FEUGA with the personal data that may be requested or obtained from them when subscribing to or registering for any of the services offered by FEUGA through the PLATFORM.

Applicable regulations establish a number of obligations and also set out the rights of individuals regarding the protection of personal data. To properly understand and, where appropriate, exercise the rights that may apply, USERS are required to read this notice carefully.

FEUGA reserves the right to modify this notice to adapt it to legislative or jurisprudential developments, as well as to changes in industry practices. In such cases, reasonable prior notice will be given of the changes to the data protection policy and the date on which they will take full effect.

The only personal data to which FEUGA will have access are those voluntarily provided by the USER. In this regard, USERS should be aware that in order to register on the PLATFORM, they will be required to provide personal data. Among these, some data are absolutely necessary to access the PLATFORM and use certain services and content. Therefore, in cases where this is explicitly indicated, failure to provide such data will make it impossible to access or use certain services and content.

The personal data provided by the USER may only be subject to automated processing and disclosed in the manner and for the purposes expressly authorized by the USER. To this end, such data will be incorporated into a file owned and managed by FEUGA.

The purpose of collecting, processing, and disclosing the personal data provided by the USER to FEUGA is to support the full range of activities related to the PLATFORM, and in particular, to manage, develop, administer, deliver, update, personalize, and improve the services and content used by the USER, as well as to perform statistical analysis of the services and content used, and of the preferences and interests of USERS.

Furthermore, as part of the development and operation of the PLATFORM, questionnaires, notifications, information, etc., related to Simbav, its services and content, and the companies providing them through the PLATFORM may be sent via various channels. With regard to surveys and questionnaires, their delivery to USERS does not imply any obligation or commitment on their part to respond.

The legal basis for data processing lies in FEUGA’s legitimate interest (regarding communications about the foundation’s activities, the operation of the WEBSITE, and its applications); the establishment or subscription of services (and their management, including payments and invoicing); and in the consent granted in specific cases (which may be withdrawn, thereby halting further processing). User data may also be used to fulfill FEUGA’s legal obligations.

In compliance with applicable regulations, FEUGA has implemented the technical and organizational measures necessary to maintain the required level of security in handling personal data. Likewise, it has the appropriate means to prevent, to the extent possible, unauthorized access, unlawful alterations, theft, and data loss. However, USERS are hereby informed and warned that such measures are not foolproof, and as such, FEUGA cannot be held responsible for such practices.

USERS have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and request portability of their personal data. These rights may be exercised in writing by sending a letter to:

or by email to: feuga@feuga.es, clearly indicating “Privacy Policy” and attaching a copy of their ID document.

Whenever USERS are asked to provide personal data through the PLATFORM, access to the relevant Privacy Policy information will be made available.

Data will be retained for as long as necessary for the use and provision of the contracted or subscribed services. Regarding communications about Simbav activities, data will be stored until the USER requests to stop receiving them (requests may be sent to feuga@feuga.es).

For specific operations, such as enrolling in courses, applying for scholarship programs, or participating in other training actions, express consent for data processing will be required, which must be provided by ticking the relevant checkbox in the forms displayed or downloaded.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending a message to feuga@feuga.es. Additionally, USERS may file a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency) if they believe their data is being improperly processed.
